One thing that always tells me that this was legitimate is that there was SUPPOSED to be a punchline at the end where Cartman says “he can still suck my balls!” Which completes the scene by being a fake out, but they removed it for some reason.
For some reason instead of making it a punchline they kept the emotional build up and just let it sit there.
