Again I’m not taking the movie as you think I am. 

It’s not as if this is a documentary on DID. It’s a movie. 

I’ve seen documentaries on DID, and I consider this separate from research. It doesn’t need to be accurate, it’s Sci-Fi. It’s entertainment. If people turn to movies to learn about people with Dissociative Identity Disorder it isn’t the movie’s fault, it’s the audience’s ignorance. 

Before I block your nasty ass, please know fiction, especially fiction portraying mental conditions/illnesses, does in fact affect reality and how people who are affected by these conditions/illnesses are perceived in society. Mental illness/conditions, especially such poor depictions of it, should never be used as ‘entertainment’. Placing all the blame on how ‘the audience perceives it’ and their ‘ignorance’ is foolish at best and harmful at worst and a very old tactic. How the fuck are you 23 defending shit like this?? But I mean you inappropriately ship two ten year olds one of which is Jewish and they other a raging antisemite, so why am I surprised.

Yummy: I’ve done my research on DID, and I consider the movie separate because the movie is fictional and isn’t the same as real life DID. Movies aren’t always going to be factual and it’s up to the person to avoid the movie if the topic makes them upset.
