My, how this blog took a disappointing turn.

This ask/story blog from @yummykyman proved to be interesting during its first arc from its September 2014 debut to its New Years Day 2016 conclusion. It was all about the asking, and that’s what made the blog interesting. It’s later dramatic reveal on how it got started was something, but I went with it.

But then the story part had to rear its ugly head, and that’s what brings me to this blog’s #1 flaw: story.

It’s a “what if?” scenario involving Trent Boyett getting revenge on the boys for what happened in the Season 8 episode “Pre-School.” That’s when the posts were lagging, taking months to come around and making my overall year completely dull because of the lack of the blog’s glory days. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll dever return as of the third arc, which also is taking longer to progress. A month-and-a-half after the last post (involving Ike Broflovski answering questions), Elle (the one who runs ATM4) decides to split Kenny McCormick and Butters Stotch. As if the second blog wasn’t bad enough with its reliance on more teen drama involving terror and all that bullshit, more drama had to be added on?

This blog has been dead in the water since a year-and-a-half ago, and it’s pains me to witness this blog continue to sink deeper into the waters. Why did the split happen? Well, we’ll find out in yet another month-and-a-half, so who gives a fuck anymore?

That’s why I recently came across @ask-kahl-and-cartman, a miles-better Kyman blog involving Kyle and Cartman as adults with their own kids, occasionally featuring our favorite characters also as adults. Since its inception in February 2017, it has kept me entertained daily. There’s a bit of drama involved, but not too much, and I’m OK with that. And it’s NSFW blog @not-safe-for-main-four​ is also worth checking out if you’re into that.

That blog is definitely worth my time, and the wannabe CW-style gobshite blog that is ATM4 was nothing but a waste of a year-and-a-half of my time. It’ll never get better no matter how long it takes for it to update. I’m just so glad that I found myself a new friend who knows how to get shit done by keeping me entertained. 

In conclusion, ATM4: 2 out of 5; AKAC and NSFM4: 4 out of 5 (only because in the former blog, there is some stuff that I’m not really fond of).

((Hell yeah, dude. I don’t normally toot my own horn about being liked, but I have to agree with your points about ATM4. The story started lacking after everything with Trent went down. I never watched the blog fully, I followed for the sake of following, and over the past few months of doing my own, I can see where she’s starting to lack. The story doesn’t have much meat to it. There’s a lot of characters, yes, but there needs to be a thickening plot that’s not so much full of drama, but has elements that make it more so about the boys being teens. I’m not that great with plots either, but my blog is a day to day thing where nothing is really in sequence unless it’s a huge event like with Kyle and Eric’s new daughter or something along those lines. There’s going to be a bit of drama since it’s about a life with two parents raising two soon to be three kids while living in South Park but there has to be some fun elements thrown in where you see the main characters actually happy and enjoying themselves. It’s hard, of course, I don’t draw everyday but I try to, just to keep people happy. That’s where ATM4 falls flat.))
