So I got a comment on my last tutorial about how there’s no tutorials for heavier built men.

Obviously I never draw heavy people, so my own version is less appealing than when I actually used a reference picture.

Again, quick and easy tutorial with some hints scribbled over.

The triangle technique definitely still works, so don’t be afraid of using it on any body type.
As it says in the picture, people who are heavier are…well ‘heavier’ and their weight is dragged down, rather than all just floating in the center of the stomach.

Like on the arms, his muscles are weighed down more, rather than UP like on a fit, muscular man.
Also the men’s breasts are heavier, while of course they don’t have to look like female breasts, they still need to look weighed and round.

I can’t say much on this sadly :/ like I said I don’t typically draw larger body types, but I hope this helped anyways! 🙂

That’s it

that’s my body type

Any tips on drawing fat people. I want to do the kyman week,but i’m struggling with drawing cartman’s body. (also,sorry if there’s any mistake,english isn’t my first language)

It’s difficult to explain how to draw fat people because I’m still learning. But I have two tips;

1. Make sure it’s not all in his belly. Cartman has big arms and legs as well. Think of a normal skeleton and then wrap some slabs of fat around individual limbs and parts.

Also use refs. I can reblog some if you’d like.

2. Make sure the fat is malleable. Some people if they’re not used to drawing fat will draw the fat like it’s made of rock or something. Make sure it hangs a little from wherever it’s coming from, and if something is pressed against it make sure it squishes a bit. Fat is squishy.

Make sure the fat doesn’t hang TOO low though. It’ll make it seem like they’ve got old man skin.
